Little-ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius)

This was a very shy and hyperactive individual (as they all seem to be!) - wish he - or she - would have stood still just for a second!
Habitat
Mudflats, seashore, river shingle beds
Location
TG Halli, nr Bangalore, Southern India
Date taken
3rd May 2008
Scientific name
Charadrius dubius
Equipment used
Nikon D70 with Sigma 170-500 lens
Interesting water droplets in this one. Almost looks like they are on the lens.

You did well to get a shot of an LRP. As you say, they can be a skittish little sods!
