Habitat: Mudflats, seashore, river shingle beds

Location: TG Halli, nr Bangalore, Southern India

Date taken: 3rd May 2008

Scientific name: Charadrius dubius

Equipment used: Nikon D70 with Sigma 170-500 lens

Interesting water droplets in this one. Almost looks like they are on the lens.

You did well to get a shot of an LRP. As you say, they can be a skittish little sods!
