Long-tailed Duck Females (Clangula hyemalis)

Today was the first time I've seen any of these ducks. In Michigan, these are usually reported in the Great Lakes, Lake St. Clair, or the Detroit River. It was nice to see them closer to my home on an impoundment of the Huron River.
Habitat
Belleville Lake
Location
Belleville, Michigan, USA
Date taken
March 6, 2009
Scientific name
Clangula hyemalis
Equipment used
Nikon D2Xs, Tamron 200-500 mm lens
Two great shots.
I think these birds are a bit rarer in England.

Beautiful ducks! I've never seen these ones myself. They're really unique looking with their white heads and markings. Thanks!
