Long-tailed parakeet (Psittacula longicauda)

This parakeet was feeding in the palm trees at the entrance to Singapore Botanical Garden. In all there was one pair with two juveniles. According to Tony Juniper (Parrots) this species is probably a migrant to Singapore.

Thanks! It is eating palm fruits of some kind (like dates). The ground was covered with orange pulp so they were having a party! They were not disturbed by all the visitors rushing in to the park on a Sunday morning.
 
Beautiful bird. New one to me. I love the way parrots hold their food w/ their feet. Good shot :)
