Long tailed Shrike : call on a murky morning : Amazing Wildlife of India by Renu Tewari & Alok Tewari (Lanius schach)

It is not commonplace to get
a record of these masked beauties
calling loudly in front of a
camera ...
It was a very grey, murky winter
morning at Keoladeo ... sun
had not been able to break
through the clouds and
peels of fog ...

lucky you indeed, Alok, wonderful video of this splendid shrike, calling out loudly, top notch, many tfs!!

excellent video, they do make similar calls to what red-backed and masked shrike do when they come here, they try to mimic local birds as much as they can but usually this is the best they can come uo with.

Great footage of animated Shrike. Lol, it doesn't seen to have its bill and tail coordinated. Brilliant footage Renu & Alok! TFS!

You've taken a fabulous video of this shrike Alok - a family I'm really rather fond of......

Many thanks for showing it to us my friend. Now I'm wondering how/if to mention it in the Vocalisation section, which hasn't actually been done yet!!!?
