Lunch (Trogon elegans)

Not my best shot of an Elegant Trogon, but I like catching him with his lunch, a caterpillar in his mouth. I have a special affection for Trogon's as they are the bird that started me on my birding journey. The Elegant Trogon is large bird of Mexico, they stand about 12.5" and have a 16" wingspan. A few spots in my area are lucky to have the birds come up to nest each spring and summer.
Found in Sycamores in Canyons.

Thank you all for the comments.
Marian, I too remember the early days with my first Trogon as my avatar, maybe I'll start using him again.
Chris, I had to hide a few to entice you back over the pond!
