Lyside Sulphur (Kricogonia lyside: Pieridae) Wingspan 3.8-6.0 cm (1.5-2.4 in).
Habitat
South Texas Plains vegetational area. Mesquite and brush grassland at 23 m (75 ft) elevation.
Location
Laguna Seca Ranch, north of Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.

Stands out well in that setting Stanley. Is that Clay Soil or as we call it down here Gumbo soil ;) A beautiful image of this Sulfur guy!

I wonder what that name means. In Norwegian "lys ide" means bright idea ;)
