Madame Tussauds (Passer domesticus)

This Madame just sat there for a couple of minutes...motionless...like in a trance.
This might be the last one from the garden for the time being. Shortly after I took this picture I removed the feeders, as the garden now gets terrorized by 3 cats from the neighbourhood ... they really attack the feeders when the birds are around, hang on to them, knocking them over ... I know, it's their natural behaviour. Maybe I should set up one feeder again, and give it another go ....
Anyway, hope you like this cuty.

A splendid shot Jack, what a cute little bird!

I'm sorry to hear about your feeders though - I had almost forgotten what a problem cats can be. Most local councils here now have rules about cats, and they don't wander in the numbers they once did. Attitudes here began to change because of the damage they were doing to small wildlife - although cat lovers will still argue that it isn't cats that do it. But you're right - it's impossible to encourage the birds if there are cats about - it just becomes a deadly trap. Is it possible to hang a feeder somewhere, so that there's nothing for the cats to climb?

This may be the reason why this madame looks a bit unhappy! Hope they will get back a feeder soon, and safe!
