Male House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)

I seem to have neglected sparrows of late!

One July morning when I was feeding the birds, I noticed some movement in a little shrub beside a shed.

Had to lean out the window a bit to get the angle for this shot. Discovered there were a few House Sparrows flitting about in there.

Goldfinch and Bullfinch made a brief appearance this morning. Hardly ever see them!!!

Well spotted and captured, Delia! House Sparrows spend a lot of time in shrubs and bushes.

So funny that your camera managed to lock focus on the leaves both in front of and behind the bird, yet not quite on the bird himself. That's really quite a trick :eek!: Lovely shot nevertheless.
