Male Redhead With One of His Girlfriends (Aythya americana)

Among the hundreds of mallards at the City of Ann Arbor Wastewater Treatment Plant this winter, there has been about 16 Redheads. Only one is male, the rest are female.

Hey Zerb! Nice capture... Nice looking Redhead you got there. I love the 2 species in one! Nice Gadwall! Interesting too because the Gadwalls I see don't usually have that dark of a head, it might be a hybrid. Nice one, keep up the good work!
