male sparrowhawk (accipiter nisus)

hi guys thanks for all your kind comments.not seen this guy since 18th of march so thought i would share him with you all too.was starting to worry about him when he appeared tonight.think he is visiting here first thing in the morning as i have heard the birds but i am not an early riser.i do love this little guy he has learnt me alot about sparrowhawks and as you can see he does not mind me at all as long as i stay around twenty feet or so which is roughly where my back door is to him and window,this was taken through the window tonight but he does allow me to sit at my door as he goes about his business.anyway i took this at 6.45 tonight and my back garden is dull but i brightened the image and think my bridge is very good at low light shots.

Fantastic photograph Margaret very well taken!!! Here in NZ Song Thrushes always start to sing before the Blackbirds.
