Male Spotless Starling Displaying.
This Male Spotless was snapped on the very top of a house in Murcia Spain. He was quite literally cock of the block! His display songs and wing flapping where a wonder to see but somewhat tricky to obtain an image of. I sat at sun up on a high terrace in the shade for 3 hours watching as he flew from house to house, chimney to chimney displaying to his audience. However the slightest sound from within the abodes would make him fly to the highest point rendering him nothing more than a distant call and silhouette. Eventually his hormone driven dancing led him back to the spot where i had my scope set up and was waiting to gladly received him.
