Mandarin in royal purple (Aix galericulata)

Last of the Mandarin shots for a while. Not likely to see another until maybe late spring. Even then it would be a sensation if we had another one turn up, third year in a row. Anyhoooo ... this isn't the best of my shots of this guy, but it is the shot that showed the purple iridescence best.

Looks like he's having a bulging headache,Doc!! ;); A bit pale too,you'de better take him to a GP. Lol Great head on shot with a nice reflection.
