Marabou Stork
An immature with a fluffy feathered head, shorter bill and lacking the adult's pink throat sack; they take four years to reach full adult plumage. They feed mostly on carrion and are sometimes called the "undertaker bird." They are also famous for following grass fires and feasting on prey that are trying to escape. The scientific name was formerly spelled "L. crumeniferus." Formerly considered conspecific with Greater Adjutant, "Leptoptilos dubius."
