Marbled Godwit (Limosa fedoa)

Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 40m.

The Godwits and Willets seem to hang-out together...both when resting on land, or taking off together when startled and flying in mixed flocks. Despite the difference in plumage, from this distance or while in flight you'd be hard-pressed to tell the two species apart with the naked eye.
