Marbled White (Melanargia galathea)

Thank you for your comments on yesterday's post of two Marbled White butterflies. I was struck by the golden costa of the female, a feature which is unusual but sometimes happens.Here's another shot showing the lovely very buff colour of the wing undersides in the female.

The underside is just as beautiful and nice to see the female with more color than the male for a change ;)
