Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus)

Shot yesterday morning at my local birding patch. He was circling around looking for prey when some lapwings started chasing him forcing him to take a break. He was perched in the tree shade when I managed to get a few shots. A first for me.

Congrats on your fine newbie SK, super capture...There are several of these handsome raptors here on the Norfolk Broads, but they're never gonna let you get this close when they are perched, lucky you mate.
