@Imageinnovator. Many thanks! I use Canon, and it was the 100-400 lens Mk II, at 400mm. I have actually uploaded the wrong photo! I meant to upload the landscape version, rather than portrait, so will change it now! (hmm, seems I can't change it!). The eagle was in a tree on the roadside, and I had to park on the opposite side. I could have got even closer on the same side, but the bird was a bit too high up.
