Pair of Wood Pigeons mating yesterday... through the double glazing, but decent light for a change.
Strange pair these, apart from mating every chance they get, the female is always more keen than the male (no schoolboy humour please ;) ). The male offers food from his crop - the female takes the food (it's called "Billing" ) - the female squats down waiting for the male to hop on top - the male offers the female more food. I think I need to have a talk to the male, as he's not quite got the ritual right ;)
