Meadow pipit (Anthus pratensis)

That small bird clearly enjoyed bathing in the clear rain-water that filled the numerous pot-holesin the road.I was driving my car when I noticed it and stopped to watch it for quite a while.

What a beautiful image, Joelle-Marcelle! I'd never have guessed it was a pothole. It looks more like a beach.

A beautiful close up of this bird, Joelle, with a wonderful catch light in the eye.

Oh my goodness... is that a pothole?!!! It looks more like a bomb crater LOL.

A lovely picture you've taken of this pipit - and wonderful to have one out in the open and posing so well for you too.

Thanks Joelle.

It's a fabulous pose Joelle, great detail and it's a lovely natural shot. The water is a great colour and it makes the perfect setting for this pretty mipit.
