meadow pipit (anthus pratensis)

sat for over an hour today trying to capture my meadowpipits return here.sun was out and so was everyone and their granny, kids, dogs, bikes, drinkers and fire starters.i do hate this place at this time of year and i usually stay away for a little while because i hate seeing it being treated this way.i am not anti social just hate ignorant people burning, rubbish throwing, dogs out of control saying its alright it doesn,t bite(just let it try).mind you i did see a guy here today that i really gave an earful to last year when my juv swans where around because his dog ran into the water after them,he said hello and had his dog on lead as he ran along beside it much better than leaving it to do its own thing.ooh i am on one again its that time of year.not a great capture of my return visitor but i still loved trying to get it.

A lovely picture you got of this pipit Margaret.

I went up a hill near here today in the hopes of seeing some... but very, very little about at all. So surprised not to hear Skylarks singing in the hot sun!

I know what you mean about all the disturbance too. I also went to one of the lochs near here hoping to see some Great Crested Grebes but just about every inch of shore had people/dogs ! Not a hope.

Mags, I support your rant, it is actually a very good capture. Well done. tfs.

Same story everywhere, Margaret; we have to suffer these people. A lovely setting & shot here. tfs.
