Memories of a stonechat (Saxicola torquata)

I was thinking of going out birding this morning but it's pouring down with beating rain and very windy. So I can't help remembering this time last year when I took lots of photos of local birds, especially that stonechat which perched on a rock very close to my car and stayed there for a long time.

Ooooh! What a beauty! The wind's died down here now. Last night we got a new record for max wind speed in Norway - not here, precisely, but further south where the storm hit even stronger. I can well see sitting inside, cuddled up in a blanket, fire roaring in the fireplace ... and gazing at a shot like this from last year |=)|

Magnificent Joelle, the lighting and focus is perfection buddy not to mention the pose and perch.
