Mipit
Today's and at least one more set for later are all from the day I took a Canadian birder (here visiting his daughter and son-in-law who are studying at the Uni) along on the midweek birders outing, which that week went to hotspots in Levanger and Verdal. Our first stop was at the horse-racing track at Levanger, which is right by a shallow bay on the fjord. While the others were busy counting Ruffs on the mudflats outside the hide (a remodeled racehorse stable), I took a walk around the track to check out the Mipits and Starlings that were busy foraging in the tall grass in the empty mid-track paddocks.
