Mme Pintail (Anas acuta)

I only got two shots of her - this one, and one with her eye closed. As you can see, she was nestled in close to the bluff, with boulders blocking the view of her from one angle and weeds blocking another.

Grilstadbekken, Trondheim, Norway

Scientific name
Anas acuta

I totally understand that; I enjoy photographs taken with obstructions blocking the view as in real life so many are that way, I consider this a well-done photograph of this hen Pintail DD!

Terrific close-up of this cat-napping beauty. Love the feather patterns and colors. Great setting as well. Quality work Doc! TFS!

It was the female I saw first... all those years ago. And I thought how neat she looked. It was some time before I came across a male!!

A cracking picture that Ann, with some lovely plumage detail. Thanks lass.
