Mocker
This one and its mate were built a nest in a bush adjacent to our deck. They laid 2 eggs and then there were none. Maybe a snake got them any being persistent as they are they now have a new nest in a rose bush a few feet away. Maybe the thorns will keep the predators away.

Our mockingbirds built a nest in a young Shumard Oak in our front yard next to our driveway. Everyday we watched them watch us leave. One day we came home and there was no nest, not even a sign of it on the ground. An unsolved mystery for us. I am glad your's have rebuilt. Maybe the rose bush will provide more protection. TFS Donny!!!

A shame their first attempt failed Donny, good luck to them on this attempt.

A super picture you've taken of him in that pose, which you've presented so nicely for us too.

Many thanks my friend.

Always sad to see a nest get robbed. Hope they succeed this time. Brilliant capture here by the way, well done!

Sorry to hear about the eggs. It would have been wonderful for you to see the little ones growing up. An awesome capture of this parent Donny. Best of luck with the new nest.
