More from the Oak Tree (Junco hyemalis)

While waiting for the progress of the Redheaded Woodpecker and the feather transition I took this little Junco. That darn woodpecker must sit in the tree, pick out an acorn.....then its down...grab....and gone. You gotta be lightning fast to get a shot. I gonna out last him though and get that shot.....at least that is my plan.

What a beautiful presentation this is Donny!

As to the Red-head, get yourself some hot pepper suet. It is a magnet for mine during the spring and summer months.

Darned Woodpeckers! I'd say this one more than makes up for it! Fantastic Junco shot -- really superb fg!!!
