Morning visitor (Sylvia atricapilla)

It was great to find a Blackcap back in the garden this morning. Marmot spotted it on a pyracantha as she checked on the feeders and then it moved to the viburnum where it remained another 20 minutes before disappearing from view. Most winters we get one or two but usually it's not until January we see them in the garden.

Two nice shots Ian, and two nice birds to have in your garden, you wouldn't fancy swapping em for a Jackdaw or a Herring Gull, would you mate???

A fantastic Blackcap image in a wonderful setting. This birds seem to change their shape all the time. Sometimes they look long and slim and sometimes round and dumpy. Superb Ian.
