Mother Mallard with three of her Children (Anas platyrhynchos)

These Mallard with her chickens is the first one I saw this year, and it's not just three chickens!
This morning, when I saw them for the first time, I counted eleven chickens, and I was very excited to see this evening the same number!
Not an easy task to capture them all together, I have a few shots of them all together, but no one worthwhile to share.
This shot is made this evening, with low incident light, a much better condition than this morning.

Good luck to her and the youngsters... let's hope that most of the ducklings survive.

I see that mum is a bit of a mixture, going by the white breast LOL.

A super picture you've got Kees. Very well done my friend.

What a beautiful image of this delightful little family, Kees !!! Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes.

How pretty is this, Kees! I like the way you have composed it, and the lighting is lovely. A very sweet family portrait.
