Mother Pileated and Chicks (Dryocopus pileatus)

Had the absolute pleasure of capturing a rare moment of a Mother Pileated Woodpecker tending to her babies. She fed them for a little while before noticing us and kept an eye on us until we left, protecting her babies I guess!
