As I said in my previous posting of a Moustached Turca, they run all the time... and jump sometimes!

...and I thought your other photo was good! A great capture, can't remember having seen anything else quite like it - Tapaculos can't exactly be called easy targets!
 
Have you had a chance to take pictures of tapaculos? It was a lifer for me and the first time I saw a bird in that family even though I had birdwatched in central and south america before. It was probably the birding highlight of the trip (actually not a birding trip!).

oups, I want to reply to rasmus, I guess I pressed the wrong button and it put a comment on my own picture...
 
tienne, no prob. Seen quite a few, but only tried to photograph a Tapaculo once (Collared Crescentchest). Sadly, only a week later I managed to lose the photo (along with the camera) while sitting (or rather; not sitting!) in a canoe in the Pantanal. What can I say - apparently cameras don't float!
