Mouth breather (Corvus frugilegus)

I took the shortcut through the cemetery on my way home. No nutcrackers there yet, and they may never come as the other corvids have already finished off most of the pine cones. Anyway ... this Rook caught my attention for a bit, walking about with his beak open. He did have the ability to shut it, but didn't do so very often or very long. And it wasn't a hot day either, so I don't think he was panting to lose heat.
