Mr and Mrs Crossbill again (Loxia curvirostra)

Busy morning at the feeders. It's very dark, windy and cloudy, a storm's coming and all the different birds were in a feeding frenzy this morning. These two didn't get pushy with each other though, they have to be a mating pair, as they are never far from each other. They calmly share a feeder like this on a regular basis.

Oh yeah... well it's easy to see which one needs to go on a diet, isn't it:-O

A lovely picture you've got here Bill - nice to see the pair together like that.

A fabulous shot of delightful Mr and Mrs Crossbill, wonderview !!! Thanks for sharing.

I love being able to get male and female of a species in the same shot. It doesn't happen very often though (well, in-focus and usable images anyway!), so great work on getting two wonderful images.

Excellent double capture getting the male and female in the same frame. Outstanding work Bill!!!!

Very nice photo with great detail. They aren't called cross-bills for nothin. I don't believe I've ever seen one myself. Thanks!
