Mr and Mrs Evening Grosbeak (Coccothraustes vespertinus)

Not long after the crossbills came to the feeders, these grosbeaks showed up. Like the crossbills, this pair never seem to stray far from each other, and don't mind sharing a cramped feeder. I keep thinking at this pair, "STICK AROUND AND MAKE MANY BABIES!!" lol

THE MISSED SHOT: Moments before, the male grosbeak was sitting on a branch side by side with a red winged blackbird, just outside the living room window. What a sight! And....my camera was in another room. So I just enjoyed the unusual pair while I could, and after a few seconds, the blackbird left.
