Mr Reedy

Spent a good six hours wandering around the locale Tuesday morning, thankfully got some nice shots to justify it. Two blades of grass really stand out for me here, the one that looks like it's skewered the little fella and the one that almost ruins the pic!
Habitat
River bank

Rufford

Equipment used
Canon 40D + 100-400mm L IS USM
Actually, I like the effect of those "blades", make me feel the beautiful chap have a little problem to deal with his own habitat! ;) :'D I see it like a very special Reed Bunting picture, Adam, and I love it to bits!!! o:) :t: :loveme:

Smashing shot Jaff. :t: Those blades of grass don't spoil the picture in any way for me. I've been neglecting birds in favour of bugs but I've got to go and try for one of these now.

I've never really succeeded with Reed Buntings so I think this is superb! I love the grass blade under the wing.

Looks good to me. a real plucky little chap and some lovely detail too. well done :t:

Maybe I am being a little too fussy but it's just that it's at odds with the rest of the image! All the blades are gently swaying diagonally except that one the chops through it's tail!

Oh well, cheers everyone.

P.S. Don't get me wrong I love the one that's neatly tucked under his wing, it's just the other one. :C ;) Cheers again.
