Another unusual juxtaposition! This is a beautiful image comparing the two birds, both white and long-necked but quite different, and their reflections. Light across the tonal range, from pure white to complete black, is very nicely handled. The screen of green vegetation (reeds? I'm not sure) makes a pleasing backdrop. A really nice shot.

Sorry if I sound like a second rate art critic! I've started some pain medication which impacts on clear thinking and expression , but I do like this image and wanted to give some idea of why.
 
the little egret really looks little compared to the big swan, John, splendid photo of these two species together, top notch, many tfs!!
