My first of the trip's only lifer

My first of the trip's only lifer (Linaria cannabina)

A massive crop. I was actually watching a couple of Goldfinches stealing rapeseed far out in this field, but they kept ducking behind ever new straws, the sneaky buggers. Then in one corner of the frame, I saw an anonymous-looking brown bird, managed more or less to get it in focus, and got a couple of snaps. Turned out to be my first Linnet (thanks to ID forum for ID help). Luckily, I got far better shots of another one a few days later.

Oh my!! Very well done on your new tick Ann. A pretty good picture you got of it too, considering the difficulty trying to get focus through the stems.

Well done lass.
