My new resident

My new resident (Buteo lineatus)

He dropped down at of nowhere and not one call from him. Come to think of it, the chickadees are all buidling nests in the the nest boxes so this might not be a good arrangement. I do love the tilt of its head though ;)

Hoo hoo hoooo-boy! Terrific shot and visitor, KC! It may be interesting to see if the local singers are threatened by his presence.
 
He is just so beautiful. I hope he lives amicably with the other birds, because it would be really nice see something like him every morning.

A hard decision, KC, telling the chickadees to be careful and this guy may be strved. Best is let nature takes its course, and just enjoy company with both!
