My new resident (Buteo lineatus)

He dropped down at of nowhere and not one call from him. Come to think of it, the chickadees are all buidling nests in the the nest boxes so this might not be a good arrangement. I do love the tilt of its head though ;)

A marvellous close up view. I hope it sticks around for you. I've always got mixed feelings about our Sparrowhawks. Always nice to see but at what cost to the other species especially this time of the year with nesting starting.
