My turn at last (Sitta europaea)

But unlike the squirrel, this little one didn't hog the feeder, just grabbed a beakful and flew off again.

Oh, and yes, Delia - Dragvoll is the campus you visited, where I have my heated, ergonimically seated, WiFi-connected "bird hide" in the Fall, with Nutcrackers right outside the window. The abandoned garden is across the front parking lot, by the bus stop. It's the garden of a small bungalow that burnt down many years ago and was never rebuilt.

Does seem to be very conservative with that little morsel, Ann.

LOL a lovely picture of him!

Aaaah!!! I knew it sounded familiar, but when I looked it up on the map I thought it was on the opposite side of Trondheim. My sense of direction was obviously all to pot!!
