Nestling Dunnock

Nestling Dunnock (Prunella modularis)

This shot is a bit of a curiosity. I have always found Dunnock to be very shy and unapproachable. However this one, which my partner Lynn spotted, was nestling in the grass at the base of a bush at Minsmere yesterday. It appeared to be enjoying the sunshine and didn't seem to be at all bothered by our presence. Ron

Minsmere, Suffolk

Thought it was sheltering from the wind and rain that we have suffered here for the past three days. Super Dunny close-up Ron.

What a lovely shot Ron,I love these unassuming and rather shy birds. First time I have seen one nesting...A great shot!!
