New Life
... and there in the reeds, waiting patiently for mum or dad to arrive with some food, was this sweet wee Welcome Swallow, obviously not too long out of the nest.

On the surface they do look rather like our Barn Swallows, but these guys lack the black band under the red throat.

A nice find, and a nice colourful close up capture you have of this youngster Delia, well done.
 
Sweet! My best captures today were baby Fieldfares, baby Starlings, and various birds feeding young or carrying food to the nest ... including a Robin with a fresh-caught wasp :eek!:
