No Fun for someone

It's good to be back isn't it!

Yesterday morning, just after I'd fed the birds, I suddenly noticed a flurry and saw all these feathers on the shed roof. I jumped up to see what had happened, couldn't see a bird at all, but there was a tabby cat running off!

So I'm guessing he didn't kill the bird. I can only think it was a gull, with so many white feathers, but I didn't actually see it.

Poor thing is probably feeling a bit chilly with having so many feathers!

I'm glad the bird made it out OK. I don't know about this new way???I don't know if I'm coming or going and where everyone is at??

I hope it was the cat that was disappointed, not the bird. Although, I guess we all have to be eaten by something at some point.

We have a couple of cats which hide behind the apple tree waiting for an unsuspecting bird to come close. Quite annoying to think the buffet we lay out for birds is also becoming a buffet for cats. This spring, I saw a cat pounce on a chick. I do wish cat owners fit a bell.

Sounds a bit ominous, Delia! There are far too many cats where we live. Even the Red squirrels are no longer safe.

I sure hope the cat didn't do any harm and that these feathers are just from the frightened birds fluttering their feathers.
