Northern Barred Woodcreeper (Dendrocolaptes sanctithomae)

we find woodcreepers often hard to identify, by the time you've got the bins on them they're round the back of the tree....this one was both more obliging and quite distinctive.

I agree, we had trouble with woodcreepers in Honduras. Excellent detail on the plumage, tfs!
 
Lucky you Max..am in Kerala trying my luck in the Western Ghats...no creepers so far!!! Lovely close up of this beauty!!! TFS!!!
