Northern Cardinal in progress for lauging out loud. (Cardinalis cardinalis)

I guess he's in the transition of changing his plumage from youth to adult. Even his beak is part black and part orange the color it will be when he is matured. Yes, nothing beautiful but who knows. Will be watching him like a hawk.

Such lovely teen colours he's showing isn't he. I'm sure he'll grow into a very handsome guy!!!

Re my Coal Tit and your chickadees. It's a bit more complicated than that. The Coal Tit is ummm like a second or third cousin, as they're in the genus Pereparus. Whereas your chickadees are in the genus [COLOR="Blue"]poecile[/COLOR], along with our Marsh and Willow Tits.
