Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis)

I was able to get out to the hide for a little while yesterday after three days of cleaning up debris from the storm. We've had lots of birds at the feeders including many visits from a pair of cardinals and lots of Woodpeckers.

Things here are still upside down as we are still without electricity four days after the storm. My Mom has been staying with us but they've restored power to 200,000 homes and now there are only 138,000 left. I'm really hoping things go back to normal soon. I thought this fellow was a cheerful visitor to the landscape. Hope you enjoy him too!

Beautiful shot of great looking Cardinal. He looks like he is getting fed well or it just the angle. lol
Sorry to hear your power is still out. Good that you at least have the generator but not quite like having reqular power. Take care and hang in there. Hopefully will get power back soon.

Well!! If you need to keep warm while the energy supplies are repaired.......just put this HOT looking chap in your living room and gather the family round him!!

A beauty, Deanne!.......(but seriously......keep warm and I truly wish you and your region a speedy return to normal.....in time for christmas!!)
