Northern Flicker- yellow shafted male - Woodpecker (Colaptes auratus)

Thanks for all the kind words on my last picture.
We don't see this woodpecker very often in our woods. He was far off, this is the first time that we have seen his tail and wings all spread out, I like the pattern and color he has.

Two great aerials, my friend, and this one is outstanding in the capture of its colors in flight. This is something we would never see otherwise.
