Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus)

Here is one of the Flicker photos from a couple days ago. He started out feeding at the suet block on the opposite side of the tree where the preivous photograph was taken but shifted over to the south side and by some lucky fluke positioned himself where the afternoon light and background added to the image. Sometimes one just gets lucky!
