Northern Flicker (colaptes auratus)

The last Flicker I posted was taken in New Jersey, this one was taken about as far south as one can get here in the U.S., but it's still called a Northern Flicker. Everything is relative I guess, but to what?

Still a cracking woodie... even if you've found it in the far north, or the deep south!
