Gently rolling hills at the interface of the Blackland Prairie and Lampasas Cut Plain vegetational areas at 160 m (525 ft) elevation. Cropland and pastureland.
Location
East of Golinda, Falls County, Texas, USA.

never understood why it used to be considered conspecific with our hen harrier, they're obviously so different.

That's a super picture you've got of this harrier Stanley.

Actually I think it's an improvement on your current Opus image, as it shows both upper and underwings plus the 'ring tail', so I think I'll switch it over.
