Northern Harrier (Circus hudsonius)

This is probably an immature male showing whitish underparts. This species was split from the similar Hen Harrier of Eurasia in 2017 based on differences in morphology, plumage, and breeding habitat. Northern Harrier is unusual among North American raptors in its polygamous mating habits. Males can have as many as five mates at once, though most have only one or two.
