Northern Mockingbird and Texas Fox Squirrel
Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos polyglottos) harassing a Texas Fox Squirrel (Sciurus niger limitis). This squirrel should get the stoic of the year award. This mockingbird dove within inches of the squirrel 15-20 times, actually making contact 7 or 8 times, got on the ground within 6 inches of the squirrel numerous times and the most response the squirrel gave was raising its head while continuing to eat its acorn.
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. West of the retention pond and Carters Creek. Parking lots with tree and shrub planted medians at 84 m (276) elevation.

Brazos Center, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
